Lisbon Luxury Car Rental operates the website lisbonluxurycarrental.com, offering luxury and sports car rental, chauffeur-driven hire and airport delivery in Lisbon, Portugal. These terms apply to all enquiries, quotes and bookings made through the site, by email, phone or WhatsApp, and to the rental agreement signed at handover. Rather than offering a single fleet list, we match the car to the road: a convertible for a clear-morning run along the Cascais and Estoril coast, a GT or SUV when the drive continues into Arrábida's cliff roads, or a chauffeur-driven option for guests who prefer to watch the corniche rather than steer it. Local drivers brief every client on route timing, toll setup for the A2 and A5, and parking realities in Sintra before departure.

Nothing is booked automatically. The process works as follows:

• The visitor sends an enquiry through the website form, by email, phone or WhatsApp, specifying pick-up and drop-off dates and, if relevant, a chosen car and flight number for airport delivery.
• We reply with a written quote stating the car, dates, price and deposit.
• The booking is only confirmed once we have issued written confirmation, whether by email or message.

Until that written confirmation is sent, no rental agreement exists and any car or date mentioned in a quote remains available to other clients.

Day rates published on the site start from €210 and vary by car and season; the exact price for given dates is always confirmed in the written quote. Unless the quote states otherwise, the price includes the car for the agreed dates, 300 km per day on multi-day rentals, and the insurance described in the quote.

The quote will state separately any charges for airport or hotel delivery, chauffeur service, additional drivers, or optional extras requested by the client. Fuel, extra mileage beyond the daily allowance, fines, tolls and any damage excess are never included in the headline price and are billed as described in these terms.

Bookings are not paid online through the website. Once a quote is accepted, payment is arranged directly with our team and a refundable security deposit is held on a credit card in the main driver's name, ranging from €1,500 to €250,000 depending on the car booked.

The deposit is released within 21 days after the car is returned, once we have checked for outstanding fines, tolls and any damage. Any amount owed for fuel, extra kilometres, fines, tolls or damage is deducted from the deposit before release.

The 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under EU consumer law does not apply to this booking. Car rental for a specific pick-up and drop-off date is a leisure service linked to specific dates, which EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Article 16(l)) expressly excludes from the withdrawal right. Instead, we apply the following voluntary cancellation policy:

• Free cancellation up to 7 days before pickup.
• 30% of the booking value is charged for cancellations made between 7 days and 24 hours before pickup.
• 100% of the booking value is charged for cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup.

Requests to change dates or the chosen car are treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new enquiry, and are subject to availability and to the same cancellation tiers if the original booking is cancelled rather than simply rescheduled with our agreement.

We may cancel or postpone a confirmed booking, with no cancellation charge to the client and a full refund of any amount already paid, where:

• weather conditions make the planned drive unsafe, particularly for convertible or open-top routes;
• a safety or technical issue affecting the specific car cannot be resolved in time;
• a force majeure event outside our control prevents the rental from taking place as agreed.

In such cases we will offer an alternative car or date where possible before issuing a refund. We are not liable for any further cost or loss arising from such a cancellation, including travel arrangements made by the client around the booking.

At handover, the main driver must present a valid driving licence, a passport or national ID, and a credit card in their own name. An International Driving Permit may be required for licences issued outside the EU.

• Minimum driver age is 23, with at least 2 years of licence held.
• Vehicles over 500 hp require the main driver to be at least 25 years old.

We may refuse to hand over a car if these conditions are not met, in which case the cancellation charges set out above apply as if the client had cancelled.

Handover and return locations and times are arranged around the client's itinerary, including delivery to hotels on Avenida da Liberdade, the airport, or a private residence. The car is inspected together with the client at both handover and return.

• Multi-day rentals include 300 km per day; kilometres beyond this allowance are charged as stated in the quote.
• The car must be returned with the same fuel level as at handover; any missing fuel is charged at cost plus a refuelling service fee.

Traffic fines, tolls and parking charges incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsibility. Where they are notified to us after the car is returned, we pass them on to the renter together with an administrative fee.

Insurance is included as described in the written quote. In the event of at-fault damage, the renter is liable for the insurance excess stated in the quote; this amount, or the relevant part of it, may be deducted from the security deposit.

The following are not permitted without our prior written approval: driving the car outside Portugal, on a track or circuit, or off-road. Smoking and transporting pets inside any of our cars is never permitted, regardless of approval.

Use of the car in breach of this section may result in the loss of insurance cover for the incident concerned, in addition to any damage or cleaning charges, both of which may be deducted from the security deposit.

Our liability as a rental provider is limited to the service described in the written quote and these terms; we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed flights, events or other travel arrangements affected by a delay or cancellation outside our control.

These terms and any rental agreement entered into with Lisbon Luxury Car Rental are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly with us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts with jurisdiction over Lisbon.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services or in the law; the version published on lisbonluxurycarrental.com at the time a booking is confirmed is the one that applies to that booking.
