Last updated: October 19, 2026

This page explains what lisbonluxurycarrental.com stores in your browser and what it loads from other servers when you browse the site operated by Lisbon Luxury Car Rental in Lisbon. It is written under Portuguese Law 41/2004 on privacy in electronic communications, which governs cookies and similar storage in Portugal. It applies to anyone visiting the site, whether you are browsing our fleet, sending an enquiry, or reading about our chauffeur service.

If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and we will explain it in plain terms.

Storage used on this site

Cookie notice acknowledgement (local storage)
Remembers that you closed the cookie notice so it does not reappear on every page. No expiry is set; it stays until you clear your browser storage.
Selected car (session storage)
Remembers which car you clicked on so the enquiry form can open already filled in with that car. Deleted automatically when you close the tab or submit the form.
Visitor and session identifiers (local storage)
Two random identifiers used only by our own visit-counting script, described below. Expire 30 days after your last visit; you can clear them at any time.
Google Fonts request
Loads the typefaces used on the page. Google's servers receive your IP address to deliver the font file. No cookie is set for our site.
jsDelivr CDN request (intl-tel-input library)
Loads the script that formats and validates the phone number field in our enquiry forms. jsDelivr's servers receive your IP address to deliver the file. No cookie is set for our site.

1. What this page is about

Cookies are small pieces of text a website can ask your browser to keep. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way but are read only by the site that wrote them, and third parties can see your IP address simply because your browser requests a font or a script from their servers. This page covers all three on lisbonluxurycarrental.com.

2. No cookies, no analytics or advertising trackers

lisbonluxurycarrental.com does not set any cookies of its own. We also do not install any third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tool: no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no ad network of any kind. The only measurement on the site is the first-party one described in the next section, and it runs entirely on our own infrastructure.

3. How we count visits ourselves

We use a small script, served from our own domain, to understand which pages are read and which routes to a car page or booking enquiry. It records the pages viewed, time spent on each page, the referring website, any campaign parameters in the link such as UTM tags or an ad click identifier, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language, and the country worked out from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.

To tell repeat page views apart from separate visitors, this script stores two random identifiers in local storage: one for the visitor and one for the current session. Neither contains your name, email or any contact detail. They expire 30 days after your last visit to the site.

When you submit an enquiry or tap a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to the same visitor and session identifiers so we know which page or channel brought the enquiry. This helps us see, for example, whether someone found us while comparing a convertible for the Cascais coast road against an SUV for Arrábida, without needing any third-party tracker.

4. What else sits in your browser

Beyond the visit-measurement identifiers, two other small entries exist purely to make the site easier to use. One, in local storage, remembers that you already saw and closed our cookie notice, so it will not pop up again on the same browser. The other, in session storage, remembers which car you were looking at when you clicked through to the enquiry form, so the form arrives already filled in with that car; it disappears as soon as you close the tab or send the enquiry. Neither entry holds any contact information.

5. Resources loaded from other servers

A couple of page elements are fetched from outside our own hosting. Web fonts come from Google Fonts, and the phone-number field in our enquiry and airport-delivery forms uses a small library, intl-tel-input, loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network. In both cases, the request for the file is enough for Google and jsDelivr to see your IP address, the way any server sees the IP address of a visitor requesting a file. Neither service sets a cookie on behalf of our site, and we do not use either one for tracking.

Our footer also links to our Tripadvisor and Trustpilot profiles. Those are ordinary links: nothing from either platform loads, and no request is sent to them, until you actually click.

6. WhatsApp buttons

The WhatsApp buttons on the site do not load WhatsApp or Meta code in the background. Tapping one simply records the click in our own booking system, as described in our Privacy Policy, and then opens a WhatsApp chat with a prefilled message. Nothing is set on lisbonluxurycarrental.com by WhatsApp itself; once the chat opens, it runs on WhatsApp's platform under WhatsApp's own privacy terms, outside our control.

7. Controlling storage, and future changes

You can see, block or delete local storage and session storage at any time through your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data; clearing it will simply mean the cookie notice reappears and the enquiry form no longer prefills a previously selected car. Blocking requests to Google Fonts or jsDelivr may change how the page looks or how the phone field behaves, but will not affect your ability to send an enquiry by email or phone.

If we ever decide to add an optional cookie, for example for a feature that needs it, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before it is set. The supervisory authority for these matters in Portugal is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt. For any question about this page, contact [email protected].
